A selection of anatomical art in digital and traditional mediums.

The piece above is a pathological illustration conducted in Photoshop. It depicts degenerative joint disease in the glenohumeral joint and at the knee, including bony spur growth, eburnation and cartilage deterioration. This piece was part of my MSc thesis.

 

The piece directly below is a dissection drawing, created as a line drawing in Photoshop to assist with learning head and neck anatomy, and was created from compiling and merging a range of observational sketches of prosection specimens and cadavers.

The final piece is a triptych created during a life art class where the focus was on surface anatomy. This piece is traditional pencil on mid-tone paper and was submitted for the life art module during my MSc.
